Atlantic Arts Academy Welcomes New Executive Director

David Weinstein is the new executive director of Atlantic Arts Academy.

Entering its 12th season of teaching the arts to students of all ages, Atlantic Arts Academy, a nonprofit organization, has hired a new executive director.

David Weinstein, a producer, composer, arranger and orchestrator of Broadway Jr. and Theatre for Young Audiences editions for Music Theatre International, ITheatrics and Disney Theatrical Productions, as a resume that includes The Little Mermaid Jr., Beauty and The Beast Jr., My Son Pinnochio Jr., Avenue Q, Rent, Les Miserables, The Wizard of Oz, Miss Saigon, Sweeney Todd and Ragtime. Weinstein also has conducted Les Miserables on Broadway and associate-conducted Irving Berlin’s White Christmas and the world premiere of High School Musical.

He joins Atlantic Arts Academy from the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts, a residential performing-arts camp in New York. He served as the creative director and assistant director.

The addition of Weinstein to the faculty will allow Atlantic Arts Academy to become one of the first schools in the nation to develop and launch all Broadway Jr. shows, Creative Director Jesse Furman said.
