Jupiter Considering New 350-Seat Waterfront Restaurant

A plan for a 350-seat restaurant located on the Loxahatchee River is scheduled to go before the town council on September 18.

facebook-A133-026Jupiter Inlet Restaurant, which would be on the former site of Brixt Italian Fishery just north of Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter, would be two stories and have valet parking, a view of the Jupiter Lighthouse, and a 230 seat outdoor cabana bar. There would also be outdoor table seating and docking for up to nine boats. The second floor would be used for office space. A connection would be built going to and from the inlet and slips would be available to be used for up to four hours at a time.

There are still certain requirements that need to be met before building can take place. As for other restaurants and businesses in the area, Jupiter Inlet Restaurant would have to close the outdoor portion of the restaurant at midnight. Also, no outdoor live music would be allowed without a special event permit from the town of Jupiter.

Originally purchased for residential units in 1979, several restaurants operated on the property since 2000 with the latest being Brix Italian Fishery. For more information on the proposal, visit jupiter.fl.us.
