Abacoa signage-featuredOn June 8, Ali’s Alliance, with support from Square D Marketing, will welcome guests to Ali’s Silver City Casino & Saloon in Abacoa for its annual nighttime fundraiser, Casino Night.

The evening of food, entertainment and games, including blackjack, craps, slots and roulette, will benefit the nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect cancer patients and their caregivers with support groups. The event will take place from 6 to 10:30 p.m. in the golf club of the community of Jupiter homes for sale. There will be music, dancing, passed hors d’oeuvres, a buffet dinner and a cash bar. In addition, a silent auction will be set up at the beginning of the night.

Ali’s Alliance, founded by David Cowan in honor of his late wife, Alison, who died from cancer, aims to compile a comprehensive database of cancer resources searchable by ZIP code. One of the charity’s primary partners is Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies in Port Saint Lucie, and it is signing up other partners every week.

Tickets cost $50 and include 3,000 gaming chips. For an extra $25, guests can enter the Texas Hold’em poker tournament with the chance to win $2,500 in prizes.

Ali’s Alliance recently had its other fundraising event of the season, its Afternoon Tea & Haute Couture Floral Millinery Pageant, at Turtle Creek in Tequesta.
