The Stan Kenton Tribute Orchestra Presented By The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild

A one night show to support the Theatre’s Paul and Sandra Goldner Conservatory of Preforming Arts that is sure to jazz up the night!!!
On Friday, November the 16th the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild is hosting an event for music lovers to experience Stan Kenton’s magnificent Tribute Orchestra’s innovative sound. This very exciting and highly energetic tribute orchestra will entertain people with classics like “Artistry in Rhythm” and “Intermission Riff” and numerous others.
During the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s Kenton was a pioneering pianist, composer, and arranger who influenced modern American life and changed the dynamic of the jazz scene. The Theatre’s producing artistic director Andrew Kato expresses that they are very energized and excited about their 10th Anniversary season of limited engagements and dynamic shows, and that the big band sound of the Tribute Orchestra will sure entertain anyone. He says that everyone is invited to enjoy the magnificent magic of this fabulous tribute.
The fantastic tribute orchestra is led by Dennis Noday a Fort Lauderdale musician. He is a classically trained musician who was lead of the trumpet sections and flugelhorn player for the Stan Kenton and Maynard Ferguson Orchestras for over a decade. He recorded four double anthems with Ferguson and ten double anthems with Kenton. Noday has also played for a variety of successful Broadway musicals and television soundtracks.
