The Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County invites local residents to come out to the ball park at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 as the World Baseball Classic qualifier, featuring Israel vs. South Africa, gets underway.
Major League Baseball recently established the new rounds of qualifying games for the classic and picked Roger Dean Stadium as one of four ball parks that will host the match-ups. The other countries in contention at the stadium are France and Spain.
The games run through Sept. 23, and the federation is rooting for Israel. The nonprofit organization serves as a community-building group for Jews throughout Palm Beach County.
